As a child, did you ever attach a blanket around your neck and pretended that you were a superhero?  For Maison Margiela’s spring-summer 2019 collection, the brand has released an all-black deconstructed cape-like sweater. The poncho aesthetic is made of 100% wool and sees a distressed ribbed crewneck. Below the kangaroo pocket, a big hole detailing is added on the front as well as the back to give the sweater a worn-in feel. The Margiela cape retails for US$990 and is available now through Barneys New York’s website.
