Tennis’ most famous Grand Slam tournament is about to hit the Big Apple, with the U.S Open set to begin 26 August. In the meantime, Uniqlo will help keep tennis enthusiasts preoccupied with the launch of 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer’s game wear for the illustrious tournament. The player-replica capsule features the former world number one’s polo shirt, a T-shirt, shorts, a wristband, socks and a cap, which is a follow-up to the “GOROGER” merch line that was dropped alongside Federer’s Wimbledon game. What’s more, to celebrate the launch, Uniqlo will be hosting the Swiss maestro at its global flagship store at 666 Fifth Avenue, New York, where the first 150 customers who spend US$75 or more and purchase at least one piece of the new collection will secure a spot at an intimate talk with Federer, which will be live-streamed on Uniqlo’s website. The chance to feel like a 5-time U.S Open champion, and possibly even get some potential tips from one of the greatest players of all time? Count us in. The full collection will be available from August 20 online and at select stores.
