If you happened to stop by the international cultural hub that is Hong Kong last Thursday, then you were in for a treat. On June 13, Swiss luxury watchmaker Vacheron Constantin hosted an exhibition cocktail party at the historical Pedder building held in the heart of Hong Kong’s Central district. For the night, the beaux-arts heritage site housed Vacheron Constantin’s “One of Not Many” House Of Connoisseurs to 150 prestigious guests, whom were introduced to the watch brand’s new pieces, as well as an art gallery comprised of various works from talented artists spanning across Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. There was local-based architect and photographer Kevin Mak, who reflected the everyday hustle and bustle of the city through his artwork and photography, Taipei-based music visual artist Yen Po-Chun who used his music to reinterpret the rhythmic tempo of his hometown and last but not least, Seoul-based spatial and lifestyle designer Teo Yang used stone pagodas as a symbolic reference to Vacheron Constantin’s Patrimony collection. With an assortment of beautiful artwork and a bevvy of cocktails to go around, it was an appreciation of the rich culture and history behind Vacheron Constantin's watches and the city hosting them.
