Tamara Mellon, the former co-founder of Jimmy Choo, has relaunched a new set of her popular Icon boots. What is starkly different about this is that they now come with additional calf sizing – yes, you read that right. This is due to strong feedback that her soft nappa leather boots don’t fit certain calf dimensions. Now, they are available in small, medium or large in any of the footwear sizes. How she has found a middle ground to these sizes is by measuring the calves of employees, friends, and VIPs to get an average measurement. Mellon admits that this won’t solve proper sizing of boots for everyone but it certainly will allow more fans of boots to try her version, which is a step in the right direction.
