Saint Laurent have rolled out its fifth chapter of their SELF collaborative short film series curated by the legendary director Wong Kar-Wai and presented by creative director, Anthony Vaccarello. Titled ‘A night in Shanghai’ brings together Kai-Wai and Hong Kong fashion photographer and filmmaker Wing Shya; and through their lens explores a story about the introspective search for our self. The story follows Ju Xiaowen in Shanghai as she attempts to find the balance between the past and the present and who she is as opposed to who she wants to be.

Performance artist Vanessa Beecroft, American Psycho screenwriter, Bret Easton Ellis and renowned Japanese photographer Daido Moiyama are among the artists who have collaborated with Saint Laurent in previous short films of this series.
