Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri is known for her feminist messages through her design and shows. In anticipation of the upcoming Dior haute couture spring-summer 2020 show she has commissions fellow feminist, artist Judy Chicago in creating the set for the show which is due to take place at Musée Rodin in Paris on 20 January 2020. If you happen to be in Paris between 21 to 26 January you are welcomed to view the installation, titled The Female Divine. An immersive space has been created with oversize goddess figure with a specially woven catwalk carpet decorated with thousands of flowers. For this occasion, the artist designed 21 banners embroidered in English and French with questions such as “What if women ruled the world?” that were made by female students at an embroidery school in India, as part of Dior’s efforts to support women in a male-dominated industry.

The live stream of the haute couture show is available here on Monday, 20 January 2:30pm Paris time (9:30pm Hong Kong time).
