Hey, we love a good tease. Like JLo busting out the nudes before Thanksgiving or whatever Blackpink does before actually doing it. That said, designer Matthew M. Williams’ highly anticipated debut collection for Givenchy in October was one heck of a tease too. Prior to the digital unveiling in October, the fashion house dropped daily hints for nearly half a month of the new vibe and moodboard set by the new man-in-charge. Sexy close-ups of metal hardware and flesh were all we got before the big reveal of its spring-summer 2021 collection which showed exactly where those trendy oversized chainlinks and padlocks went (well, just about everywhere). And just to increase the fashion set’s desire to own every coveted piece in the line-up, Williams sent the first batch to over 25 of his newly approved fashion fam – think Kaia Gerber, Bella Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian – to front the new wares from the comforts of their abode (yes, WFH is still a thing). Now, that you’ve spent the last couple of months poring through the images and salivating over what every A-lister has managed to get their hands on, Givenchy is doing you a favour post-Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Call it Teaser Tuesday if you will as the fashion house has dropped news that from now until December 22, it will start stocking a select number of items from the spring 2021 collection, meaning you can begin to chart your NYE looks right now. Items on the menu include Lock ankle boots with a new rendition of a padlock, Antigona handbags with elongated handles, and sweats with metal rings embellishing the fabric. And in case you miss this because of unforseen circumstances, Givenchy has already confirmed that February 26 will be the launch of its complete spring 2021 collection. How's that for another spoiler?
