Rumour has it that a good ol’ steel wristwatch is hard to find these days and some are even paying top dollar for the metal like it’s ranked in the same ballpark as gold. Those who have done so – and let’s not kid ourselves – have been conned big time and are far too invested to admit that steel is ultimately still steel. Now, those who continue to have a soft spot for the metal and haven’t fallen into the trappings of overpaying can assess their options and realise that there are plenty of really good-looking steel timekeepers to go around, namely this BR 05 first launched last year that is now being equipped in 2020 with a chronograph feature. This full bracelet option will set you back just over US$7,000. Steel that sounds like a steal? We’re in.
