It wasn’t too long ago that Kendall Jenner turned 21 (she is 25 now). But unlike most young adults who view this magic number as permission to get blind drunk and start their own path towards financial freedom, Jenner got smart and decided to do all of that whilst on a four-year quest to launch her own tequila label. Lo and behold, she has finally unveiled that she is the proud owner of 818 Tequila, following in the footsteps of Rande Gerber and George Clooney’s billion-dollar tequila empire. 818 Tequila’s formula towards success is rather simple, according to new tequila taste master Jenner: “… dozens of blind taste tests, trips to our distillery, entering into world tasting competitions anonymously and WINNING.” She has emphasised the last part in caps so that you know 818 Tequila – named after the area code of Los Angeles County where she’s based – is already critically acclaimed though there is no word yet as to how and when we are able to experience the Blanco, Reposado and Añejo (you know, just like that Best Picture nom that’s yet to get a wider release in theatres). We could all do with a shot that isn’t just the vaccine variety.
