There are a few go-to inspos in fashion that doesn’t take a whole lot of convincing to know if it would work: unicorns, fairies, butterflies... you get the drift. Now, pair one of these ideas with supermodel Kate Moss’ approval and it’s as good as cashing in on a blank cheque at the bank. With the evidence that her debut merch sold out quickly last December, she has launched her sophomore capsule collection of sustainable staples under KMA Studio with butterflies in mind (sorry unicorns and fairies). Partnering with wildlife photog Finlay Pitt, these organic tees and hoodies feature an abstract butterfly print captured by the aforementioned and then altered in a manner that mimics today’s on-trend tie-dye treatment. Moss admits that the use of butterflies isn’t coincidental as she is fond of the winged creature and is a firm believer in the butterfly effect, which is the theory of how a small change can make much bigger changes happen. This belief is underlined by a partnership with Save the Children – the humanitarian aid organisation that helps disadvantaged children around the world – which will benefit from sales of the collection, with £5 donated for every item sold.
