Well, the show must go on… and it has. Six months since Chance the Rapper performed live inside the plush confines of a Ralph Lauren boutique in Chicago – and have it streamed to millions across the globe – the American fashion designer has invited another musical genius that he admires to do the same. Enter eight-time Grammy-nominated artist Janelle Monáe, who also admitted that Ralph Lauren was the first to gift a suit to her at the start of her career in 2010. Filmed entirely in black-and-white to channel the good ol’ days, the 35-year-old performed inside the iconic flagship store in Beverly Hills, belting out hits including her rendition of Frank Sinatra’s All or Nothing which is also the title of the programme. The show is also partly a re-introduction of the spring 2021 menswear and womenswear collection, which are available now, Monáe took the opportunity to dress like she was at the Oscars again in a classic double-breasted dinner jacket and white tuxedo pants. Watch the exclusive performance below and feel free to loop this as your soundtrack all throughout the weekend. (Head to Ralph Lauren's webpage for a wide screen video.)
