If you’re looking for something different in the fashion reality TV space, HBO Max is a step ahead of the curve. It has launched a new competition series, called The Hype, that is focused on finding the next big name in streetwear design. 10 contestants will pit their best designs to see who will bag US$150,000 and have their collection sold on StockX. Expect a judging crew that knows all about hype ware with Offset, Bephie Birkett, and Marni Senofonte joined by guests like Cardi B, Dapper Dan, and Wiz Khalifa. And if you think streetwear is all about slogan tees and baggy silhouettes, this show aims to let you in on the finesse behind the clothes as much as the culture that it takes root from. Oh and spoiler alert, some of the winning outfits are already ready for bids on StockX.
