If there’s one person on this planet still with us at this moment who can say they share the same birth year as the house of Gucci, it would be Iris Apfel. The New York-born fashion icon just turned 100 and while most people at that age would rather take a nap and simply chill the eff out, Apfel is working harder than even Betty White who is half a year younger and still doing TV shows to make the generations after hers look weak. Apfel is doing plenty much the same in the work ethics department, having just closed another landmark deal in her extensive CV of collaborative gigs. This time around, H&M comes into the fold on a collection inspired by her personal style, which you can expect is filled with plenty of colours, prints, and heavy-duty embellishments. "Style is not about spending a lot of money. It's not about what or who you wear, but how you feel when wearing something. Style is about self-expression and, above all, attitude," says Apfel. The collection will also include accessories, which is her true first love, designed for all age groups. H&M unveils that the collection will hit stores come early 2022, so until then chill the eff out.
