Don’t be alarmed if you’re hearing more about the Spice Girls these days than Victoria Beckham. Posh has been busy reorganising her life and business priorities thank you very much. And don’t forget that she launched her namesake beauty label just a couple of years ago which any self-made beauty mogul knows is a steep learning curve on its own. That said, VB still has plenty of great ideas left in the fashion tank and she’s choosing to share them on her own terms. The good news is, October seems just about the perfect timing for her to share one of her new fashion activities – a collab with The Woolmark Company on a 20-piece collection of Merino wool knitwear for adult and another 14-piece collection for kids. Why this marks an important step for her as a designer is because this is the first time a fashion line of hers is entirely sustainable as well as traceable to the five Australian farms that are supplying the material. And yes, even the polybag packaging is biodegradable. The Merino wool line is made entirely in Pescara, Italy, with plenty of consideration being put into the process including natural plant-based dyes used. As for what to expect in the knits, allow VB to reintroduce her penchant for colourblocking. There’s even a contrast rib sweater that seemingly gives a nod to hubbie David’s beloved Manchester United. The collection is available now.
