In a world of secretive timekeeping collabs, godfather of Japanese streetwear Hiroshi Fujiwara’s contributions are arguably one of those blink-and-miss moments. Heard about his TAG Heuer exploits? We rest our case. Apart from that easy-money venture, the fashion vet was also tapped by Bvlgari last year to launch a series of bags and accessories which soon extended to a pared-down Bvlgari Bvlgari wristwatch that was limited to 250 examples. Needless to say, the demand far outstripped the supply. Now, Bvlgari is keen to keep the buzz going with another Fujiwara-blessed Bvlgari Bvlgari wristwatch that more than doubles the last production, hoping to catch the wave of those who missed out on the first. And don’t worry, the sequel kind of looks the same too as Bvlgari hasn’t tweaked the formula much for this stainless steel model albeit for a new colourway on the NATO strap and a polished case rather than a sandblasted one. What remain are the minimalist black dial, a discreet date window, the co-existence of both brand logos engraved on the bezel, and the double lightning Fragment logo on the crown.
