Start making bids to catch ‘em all. For the 25th anniversary of Pokémon, crystal specialist Baccarat is upping the ante on the kawaii with the release of special edition Pikachu figurines and a Poké ball. Now, if you’re asking why you need these in your life, then you probably aren’t one of the tens of millions across the globe crazed about this popular Japanese animation. One version in particular is perhaps the most sought-after of the trio. Co-signed by Fragment’s Hiroshi Fujiwara – you might know his work on an all-black Pikachu plush launched a few years ago (Pikachu Fragment) – the godfather of Japanese streetwear has visualised 25 examples of a multi-faceted Pikachu. Standing close to 12 inches in height and weighs just over eight kilos, this crystal figurine also features the engraving of Fragment’s lightning bolt logo. And how much to bag this version? A good 25 grand no less.
