At some point during Adele’s One Night Only concert special at the iconic Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, you might have caught a glimpse of the singer’s earrings and wondered how much they weigh (they are planets after all). Customised by Schiaparelli to match her gown, these earrings are fashioned after Saturn which is also a tattoo on her arm. This particular astrological reference is something called a Saturn Return which is the moment when the aforementioned planet circles back to when you were born, which happens between every 27 to 29.5 years. For her, these earrings are a humbling reminder of when she turned 27, a time in which she lost her voice and questioned her own happiness.
