It isn’t called the holidays if you’re not giving the Macaulay Culkin classic Home Alone the annual loop. With a reboot flick already streaming on Disney+, Adidas Originals is trying to capitalise on the occasion by launching a remix of a Forum sneaker that appeared in the original movie on the feet of the main character Kevin McCallister. And yes, every nook and cranny of the white and red sneaker is lavished with film references that the diehard fan will be tickled by: the carpeted tongue tab to the burn marks on the upper to the choice of multiple footbeds featuring film stills to even a nod to the original actor via a metal letter M table on the heel. The sneakers will launch on December 11, more than 31 years after the original film’s premiere.
