The film industry needs more stories to be told from a female perspective. And Miu Miu strongly agrees with this sentiment which is why it started an initiative a decade ago called Women’s Tales that supports female filmmakers and their short film projects. The only caveat? The characters must be dressed in the fashion label’s latest seasonal collection. Through this series, Miu Miu has supported over 20 directors with 2021’s latest names being Kaouther Ben Hania and Isabel Sandoval, who directed I and the Stupid Boy and Shangri-La, respectively. Miu Miu hosted a screening in Hong Kong of the aforementioned films as well as a panel discussion with noted local director Ann Hui and actresses Sammi Cheng and Hanna Chan.
