A TOUCHDOWN IN MUSIC AND SNEAKER-DOM: Eminem’s Air Jordan 3 Sneakers

Eminem's Jordan 3 sneakers that he wore at the Super Bowl Halftime Show

When it comes to the Nike sneaker fam, Eminem can call himself an occasional but influential contributer. All of his casual sneaker hook-ups with the Swoosh have instantly been labelled under grail status just because they don’t appear very often. (Yes, rarer than even meteorites.) At the Super Bowl LVI Half-time show, Slim Shady a co-starring role together with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar. But eagle-eyed fans can’t help but notice the footwear he was wearing (especially from the Colin Kaepernick-styled kneel), a special occasion custom Jordan 3 with a reversed capital E call sign on one of the tongues. The 49-year-old Detroit native, who was also wearing his signature black hoodie, had a special Slim Shady sticker-like tag as the heel tab. This particular graphic is reminiscent of his music single cover art for his critically acclaimed My Name Is song back in January of 1999. No word yet if this Air Shady as he termed it will be released (we’re guessing not?) but at least you can cop some of his football-themed merch when it lands the day after this epic performance.
