To sneakerheads, it might feel as long as a Tobey Maguire Spider-Man cinematic run ago that this popular model in the Yeezy Boost 350 series nicknamed the Turtle Dove made its debut. But it has only been seven years since this Adidas-made silhouette first lit up the hype sneaker market and spawned numerous bootlegs the world over thanks to its fresh Primeknit upper and Boost sole combi. Those who missed out on the first run and didn’t cop out to paying several times the retail price for a pair on the secondary market might now get a chance to own a fresh one made in 2022. Adidas has yet to confirm the drop but there’s no smoke without fire as reputable sneaker sites are hyping the re-release – which might happen as soon as this month. And if you’re wondering about the demand of a footwear that is already as old as Kanye West’S first born child, let’s just say that sites like StockX show that prices still hold steady with the Turtle Dove listed between US$1,500 to US$2,000 (it went as high as several grand at its peak). We guess fashion insiders know a good-looking bird when they see one.
