So, you’re on the sofa tinkering with your Nintendo Switch Sports and you consider it a decent workout. Well, is it even a workout at all if you can’t post it on the gram and get your follower list feeling jels? Our point exactly. If you’re in Hong Kong from October 2 to 9, there’s a new pop-up fitness centre that might get you off the couch and into a confined space to break a sweat in. And it’s fancy with a capital F (yes, its name does have a capital F in it). Hermès is setting up its now-famous bespoke gym called HermèsFit at Tai Kwun, located on Hollywood Road, after it made stopovers in other fitness-crazed cosmopolitan cities like Tokyo, New York, Paris, Bangkok, and Los Angeles. And guess what? No entrance and membership fees are required to enjoy this orange-themed space. What's even better is that you don’t necessarily have to get into a serious workout to enjoy the HermèsFit experience. Play pretend with the custom Hermès barbells and kettlebells, take a selfie in the photo booth, or even strike up a pose inside the boxing ring and on the climbing wall to fuel the posts on your feed. But what’s a gym without classes? Hermès encourages interested parties to sign up for one of several unique classes that involve their stylish accessories. Carré Yoga lets you perform some scarf-inspired poses, whilst Belt Stretching means exactly what you think it is (with the option of picking your own belt for the activity). You can also kickbox in Hermès bracelets, balance multiple plush hats on your head as lessons for strength and stability, and hold onto small leather goods for dear life to elevate your grace and flexibility. There is even an unorthodox round tennis table for friendly matches. And not to worry, there will be instructors to guide the classes so the experience won’t appear like you’re going at it solo inside an escape room. Hermès isn’t just championing for you to have a healthier lifestyle, it wants you to have an all-rounded one too. It will also transform the central boxing ring into a stage during the late hours so as to include DJ sets and live performances to liven up the place. After this experience, you’d probably wish the Parisian luxury house redid your local gym.
