For the longest time, Elon Musk has been promising mankind with microchips planted into our brains and hooked up to a computer. Well, that moment isn’t anywhere close to happening yet (we hope). But Jonathan Anderson isn’t waiting around for someone to give him a smartphone deal to render some thoughts about tech, in particular how we are already hooked onto a device somehow. His take is our dependency on the SIM card. Most of us already own a mobile phone device, and chances are, this microchip embedded in each device is something we already can’t do without even though for centuries humans were doing just fine. He has recreated the look of the SIM card in soft leather, and blown it up in proportions and plastered on the likes of a back tab on a pair of denim jeans, a knit top, and even a tank top. Heck, it even appeared as a brooch of sorts on the bare chest of a model. We guess this is why Anderson has such a good connection with the fashion in-crowd.
