Oddly enough, your recent social media feed might be littered with videos of robotic dogs harassing runway models. Well, you can thank Coperni for that viral update, and no, those robotic dogs aren’t for sale (yet). But what will be retailing in the next few months is another masterstroke by Coperni, the same guys who gave us countless videos and images of Bella Hadid getting a custom dress sprayed onto her naked torso just because. Coperni views tech a tad differently than most – and that’s a good thing. Think of its Swipe bag inspired by the swipe to unlock icon on the iPhone or a metal necklace resembling a coiled pair of earphones. Its latest development for fall-winter 2023 looks cheeky but harmless. It has fashioned a metallic version of the OK hand sign, pinned on staples like tops, sweaters, and floor-length bodycon dresses. And don’t take these OK hand sign as symbols of consent or an invitation. What Coperni has utilised them for is to lend a playful focus on the gathered details of the fabric. And perhaps as a reminder that everything is going to be okay.
