In a bid to battle the experience of shopping online, physical stores now look and feel as plush and homely as the nearest five-star hotel lobby. A case in point was Gucci’s recent reopening celebrations of its flagship store, which underwent a major reno to cater to bring newness to its loyal following. The 12,000 square feet of retail space now includes a VIP men’s area for a tailored shopping experience, the first store in Greater China to be blessed with such a retail feature. The opening night saw a big turnout of who’s who such as Louis Koo, Charlene Choi, and Kary Ng, just to name a few.
