It’s likely that Kermit the Frog has more famous friends and hit songs than you do and it even has an honorary degree to its name. Well, the most beloved fictional frog in this lifetime now has another thing you likely do not have: a co-signed mechanical timepiece. Oris has blessed its self-winding ProPilot X Calibre 400 model with a green dial – timekeeping’s go-to hue as of late – that is in the exact shade of Kermit’s green coat, giving those tired of another green dial offering something to get excited about. But where’s Kermit’s cameo on this 39mm titanium bracelet watch? Just for the amusement of its wearer, Kermit’s smiley headshot pops up on the date window at 6 o’clock once every month, the first day of each month to be precise. And this collab isn’t a one-off either; Oris has assured that this is a multi-year partnership that will see more of The Muppets cast scoring their own timepiece soon enough.
