This entrepreneur isn’t even going to pretend that you haven’t seen her in a birthday suit performing certain acts that the Internet and some countries want to put behind a heavily-guarded firewall. Mia Khalifa may have made a name in the adult film world but the Lebanese-American isn’t banking on flesh as currency any longer. She’s now a jewellery biz owner with the launch of Sheytan, which means devil in Arabic. But before you start crucifying her for wares that conservatives likely generalise as extensions of the devil, just keep in mind that these gold-plated metal designs don’t take themselves too seriously or look like items used in a blood ritual. Sheytan offers a wide range of dainty yet empowering pieces that look as good on the beach as they would at a dinner party. Gorgeous Italian-sourced stones decorate waist and body chains, including toe-to-ankle and hand chains. Sheytan wants you to know that its gold-plating isn’t the run-of-the-mill versions either as they won’t oxidise or discolour, which is perhaps one of the most underappreciated qualities of non-gold jewellery.
