Excuse you, but is Crocs on some soul-searching journey to drop its ugly footwear tag for good? After all, its design department has been picking up some invaluable lessons via successful collabs it has been launching in recent times, especially with high fashion brands wanting to make the polarising rubber clogs all the more headline-friendly. It seems that in the Echo Storm, a fresh slip-on silhouette by Crocs, is the first of many that wants to take up real estate in your already crowded shoe rack of futuristic slides. Echo Storm gives the illusion of a layered construction, an armour-like appearance that mimics an armadillo's shell of sorts. Fashioned from Crocs' signature rubber foam called Croslite, this footwear also features a neoprene collar that hugs the ankle, perfecting a snug fit like your fave sock-like footwear. And what's a pair of Crocs without visible holes? Well, in this case, it has turned these so-called holes into sleek vents near the midsole for purposes of airing your feet. Want to pick up a pair in either off-white or black? As of now, only Kith will be stocking these from today at US$100 a pop.
