It was a Friday night in July and a stone's throw away from the party district of Lan Kwai Fong was another curtain raiser that every mover and shaker in town was trying get into. Italian jeweller Bulgari opened the doors of their Landmark Chater flagship during after-dark hours to welcome the city's most socially-connected crowd. Titled Serpenti Night, it was also a celebration of the jeweller's most iconic motif, that of the serpent. To also celebrate the hot summer season, the window displays were switched from the usual glamourous undertones to one with Roman flair: Vespa and Cinquecento miniatures in white ceramic took their pride of place at the displays as even passerbys got an indication of the theme behind the invitation-only party. VIPs had more than their fair share of the Eternal City as well with handmade gelatos and Italian cocktails.
