In the age of the 21st century woman, there’s a lot more boxes that need to be ticked. Paul Andrew, recently appointed as the womenswear creative director for Salvatore Ferragamo, gives his first shot at meeting these expectations with the launch of his first bag for the house: the Studio Bag. What does the modern woman look like? Take Ana Kras, for example, a Salvatore Ferragamo muse. Based in New York City, she juggles the responsibilities of her artistry, photography, furniture design and interior decor all at once. From her Bonbon lamps to her Copenhagen Fashion Week photography sets, she strikes a delicate balance with her various roles. Like Ana, the Studio Bag comes to represent the modern day woman with its own juggling act: the Studio Bag is available in four variable sizes, perfect for managing an assortment of tasks all at once. A space for stationary & notebook, a compartment for makeup, and an area for placing your wallet? The Studio Bag provides that and more, with 5 compartments neatly tucked into the rectangular-shaped bag, along with a detachable clutch if you decide to go for a different look. The Studio Bag comes in a range of colours (camel, rose and black) that may be simple, but the top-grade Italian leathers with metal studs dotting the receptacle's base serve to highlight the quality and careful detail placed onto the bag. If that's what it takes, so be it. Like ticking off a checklist.
