Whoever said “life’s a marathon, not a sprint” probably doesn't own footwear like these. Balenciaga’s freshest crop of live-for-the-moment trainers flaunt all the hype and colour codes of their wildly successful Triple S without the extra pounds that those chunky predecessors were packing. And with a name like the Track, they are already hinting at the type of hard ground that these belong on. Just like the fashion house’s keenness in the art of layering, the lightness of these hype-beating trainers don’t come in expense of their styling and design ethos. Look closer at its Asics-esque exterior and you might applaud the complex intertwining construction that resembles a hypothetical diagram of The Rock’s muscle group. That said, this US$705 footwear offering couldn’t come at a more ripe time as '80s-favoured neon shades are peaking on the bodies of streetwear savants. While you’re not expected to break a sweat in these, chances are, you just might want to.
